ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified
In 2023, FTG Cranes has finalised the implementation of the ISO 14001 standard, in addition to the previous ISO 9001 certification. This is part of Bruks Siwertell Group’s 2030 goal to update and improve 100% of its work processes.
-‘Our sustainability goals are included in this ISO standard, which means that going forward we will all operate and think from a deeper environmental perspective, whether we are working with purchasing, design, production or sales,’ says Ulf Godtman, Aftermarket and Quality Manager, FTG Cranes.
ISO 9001 – Quality
ISO 9001 is the world’s best-known quality standard, well established both at home and abroad. It sets out the criteria for companies and organisations that want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet quality requirements.
At its core, ISO 9001 is about improvement, so the standard’s requirements document is a great tool for any business looking to evolve and work smarter.
An organisation that meets the requirements of ISO 9001 is productive and cost-effective, has fewer complaints and more satisfied customers. A certified quality management system is also an increasingly common requirement for both large tenders and smaller business deals.
The purpose of the ISO 9001 certification process is to help develop a robust quality management system (QMS) that drives continuous improvement. The ISO 9001 standard offers flexibility and allows us to design a quality management system around our specific products, customer needs and risks. As such, it serves as an important building block for improving risk and quality management.
ISO 14001 – Environment
ISO 14001 is an international standard for environmental certification. It helps companies and organisations to improve the efficiency of their operations and reduce their environmental impact.
ISO 14001 certification helps us reduce our negative environmental impact and find more sustainable and resource-efficient solutions. The implementation and certification of ISO 14001 is designed to provide assurance to staff, customers and stakeholders that a company’s environmental impact is being effectively measured and improved.
The purchasing, sales, development and production departments at FTG have all had their processes updated to ISO 14001, increasing their capacity for environmental assessment and risk analysis.
